Dawn S. Ciotti, 30, of Wintersville died Friday, December 11, 1998, at Weirton Medical Center.

She was born August 19, 1968 in Steubenville.  She was a graduate of Wintersville High School and attended Jefferson Community Collere.

She was preceded in death by her mother, MAry Lynn Harmon Ciotti; maternal grandparents Paddy and Naomi Harmon and maternal step-grandparents, Harry and Gladys.

Survivors include her father and stepmother, Daniel J. and Ann Reese Ciotti of Wintersville, a brother, Daniel J. Jr. of Steubenville; two sisters, Mrs. Ron (Dee) Hastwell of Steubenville and Mrs. Gary (Melanie) Dodson of Marysville; Her paternal grandparents, John and Velma Ciotti of Columbus and her fiance, John Wedlake II of Wintersillve.

 

 

TOBY MATTERN

October 18, 1968 to February 16, 2008

Toby Mattern, 39, of Wintersville, OH died Saturday, Feburary 16, 2008 at Trinity West.  He was born October 18, 1968 in Steubenville, Ohio.  He was a memeber of Mindo Sportsman Club.  Prededing Toby in death were his paternal grand parents Robert W. and Louise MAttern and maternal grandparents Jim and Agnes Cash.  Surviving are his fiancee of 10 years, Dreama Yanero of Wintersville, OH; children Patrick Joseph (Amanda Marie) Mattern of Adena, OH, Vanessa, Stephanie and Johnathan  Yanero of Wintersville, OH, Emily Margaret MAttern of Kend, OH and Jensen Brooks of Wintersville, OH; grandchildren Victoria Jackson and Brady Longo with a new grandchild arriving soon; father Robert H. "Skip" Mattern: mother Bettie Cash Mattern; brother jason R. Mattern and three german shepherds Harley, Prozac and Peek-A-Boo.  Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, Wintersville Monday 12 p.m. until the tome of service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. John Beard officiating.

DENNIS VAN GOSEN

September 6, 1968 to February 6, 2010

Dennis F. Van Gosen, 41 of Richmond, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at his home.  He was born September 6, 1968 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Gilbert Fred Van Gosen and Karen Dennis Van Gosen of Mingo Jct.  He was employed by the Wintersville Sanitation Dept. and was Christian by faith.  In addition to his mother he is surviced by his grandmother Helen Richardson Van Gosen of Bellaire; a brother, Steve (Shantal) Van Gosen of Richmond; two sisters, Melissa (Bill) Gruber of Bloomingdale and Michelle (Lance) Lakes of Connersville, IN.  Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral HOme, 685 Canton Road, Wintersville on Friday from 2-5 PM.  There will be a Memorial Service Friday at 5 PM at the funeral home with Paster Randy Cetorelli officiating.  

BILL REED

February 6, 1969 to April 26, 2013

William J. "Bill" Reed, 44 of Wintersville, Ohio passed on into eternity April 26, 2013 after his long struggle with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma.

Bill was born in Steubenville, Ohio on February 6, 1969. He graduated 1987 from Wintersville High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Youngstown State University.

Bill was working on his terminal degree in Chemistry and was regarded as one of YSU'S finest. He was awarded the Graduate Student Award where he demonstrated unusual ability, enthusiasm, leadership, and intellectual independence and in his research achieved recognition beyond the University. Bill also received the Ohio Chapter of the American Institute of Chemists Award, the Society for Analytical Chemistry of Pittsburgh Award. He strongly influenced the lives of many in the Science community.

Bill enjoyed the outdoors, birds and loved fly-fishing, camping and cooking out on the open fire.

Those left here to mourn include his wife, Beth; four children; seven adopted kittens; parents, William and Tinnie Reed; sisters, Tina (Michael) Clutter, Teresa (Brian) Means, Cathy (Greg) Roscoe; brother, Joseph Reed; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his maternal Grandfather; Donald "Danny" Argano; paternal Grandfather, Thomas B. Reed and Grandmother, Alberta Miller Reed.

 

Visitation will be held at the Everhart- Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Visitation also on Tuesday from 10 AM until time of Funeral services at 11 AM with Pastor Imre Gulyas and his brother-in-law, Greg Roscoe officiating.

SHERRI RISH

December 16, 1968 to April 30, 2016

Age 47, of the North Hills, Pittsburgh formerly of Wintersville, a loving Mother, Daughter and Sister died Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Valley Hospice. She was born December 16, 1968, in Steubenville. Sheri was a homemaker and a graduate of Wintersville High School class of 1987 and Kent State University. She was a member of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Pittsburgh and was actively involved with Northway Christian Community Church, Wexford. She is the daughter of Delbert and Jessie Piccirillo Rish of Wintersville, Sheri is also survived by her two daughters, Samantha and Skylar Rodgers both at home. Her brother, John wife, Isis Rish of Columbus and her faithful dog, Spencer. Sheri was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Mickey Mouse fan and loved Disney World; Sheri also was very active with the Pancreatic Cancer awareness event, Purplestride. Calling hours are Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday 12 p.m. until the time of services at 1:30 p.m. at the MOSTI FUNERAL HOME, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Burial will be private. 

JONATHAN FORTE

January 31, 1968 to March 21, 2017

Jonathan Forte’, 49, of Al-Mangaf, Al’Asimah, Kuwait, tragically passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Al Doha Hospital in Kuwait, due to a car accident.

Jonathan, also known as Jonny, Jon Jon and Jay, was born in Cleveland, Ohio, January 31, 1968, the third eldest child of the late Bishop John Forte' and the late Evangelist Lois Forte’, grew up in Wintersville, Ohio and Tampa Florida, and was a 1987 graduate of Wintersville High School.

Jon, a man of great faith and confidence, had such a passion for the Lord and desire to bring others to Christ that he went into the heart of Kuwait, a Muslim country and delivered the word of God. While there he Co-Founded and pastored his church, Effective Ministries Family Worship Center, along the side of his wife, Marshell. He also worked as a civilian contractor with CGI Federal while in Kuwait.

Jonathan studied at Jefferson Technical College, Ames Christian University and Ames International School of Ministry.

Jonathan is survived by his wife of 10 years Marshell Forte; Daughters Janeka Hinton (Dermaine) of Canton, Ohio; Adrienne Davis of Tyler, TX; DeAndrea Jones (Rashad) of Al-Mangaf, Al’Asimah, Kuwait; Marlesha Davis of Tyler TX; Sisters Melisa Jones (Danny) of Indianapolis, IN; Angelita Forte’ of Wintersville, OH; brothers Anthony Forte (Karen) of Columbus, OH; Timothy Forte (Jennifer) of St. Clairsville, OH; Steven Forte’ of Oakdale, PA; Jehu Forte’ (Destinee) of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren Dezziree’ Hinton; Aaliyah Hinton; Jaceyon Eckford; Gabriella Jones; Riley Moody; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Jonathan was preceded in death by his father and mother, John Forte' and Lois Forte’.

Calling hours for family and friends will be on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 6-8pm at Greater Zion Temple Family Worship Center, 500 North 5th St. Steubenville, OH.

A viewing will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 beginning at 11am at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 255 North 5th St. Steubenville, OH, with the homegoing service immediately following.

The Interment will be held at Union Cemetery directly following the homegoing service. A repast will be held at Greater Zion Temple Family Worship Center, 500 North 5th St. Steubenville, OH, immediately following the interment.
